About Us

Dahl Consultants was founded by Wayne and John Dahl, the oldest two of four brothers from North Dakota. Work and life brought them to California over 30 years ago and they have been working on water conveyance projects ever since. Together they bring over 60 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of large water conveyance facilities.

Our extensive experience working in water in the Western U.S., as well as our involvement in senior management and leadership roles in large and small firms, means we have observed firsthand what works and doesn’t work in a company. When we started our firm in 2009, we knew we wanted to do things differently. Today, not only do we have the capacity to take on complex and demanding projects, but our size will ensure you get the service and attention that might be lacking from larger firms.

Dahl Consultants is comprised of experienced water professionals who are committed to working for our clients on projects requiring a high level of strategic direction and focus. Additionally, we have alliances with a select group of consultants with expertise in hydraulics, system operation, environmental, electrical, sediment transport, construction, construction engineering, cost estimating, structural, and strategic planning.

Our multi-disciplinary team of focused professionals has a comprehensive understanding of the complex water issues unique to the West and is dedicated to working with our clients to offer a thorough and innovative approach to implementing challenging projects.
